Beaufighter X dorsal gun position

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the dorsal gun is fitted to the cupola or on a mounting fixed inside the fuselage. I have looked at pics of the Hendon Beau and it shows some sort of a steel fixture at the rear of the cupola but cannot see if it is part of the cupola structure or the fuselage itself.

I’m just interested in the original source. Looks like an old article or something like that.
