The static display airframes at Booker have all seemed a bit short of TLC- hopefully the B-25 will fare better.

It would be more relevant at Dunsfold, where 98 Squadron flew them.

They might be interested to hear of it, you never know.

Who cares about the jet!!!!

Finally Bedsheet Bomber will be heading to a better home. I have spent some time during 1997 looking around (and in) it and even then it looked terrible. Never would I think that it would take nine more years before somebody cared about it. Makes you think, doesn’t it. 🙁

Now, get that Lincoln into shape (and I don’t care who does it, as long as it’s done) 😡

Cheers

Cees

Off topic slightly – how much of the Lincoln is still actually there??

B-25s have been one of my favorite warbirds ever since reading Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo when I was about 9. I ‘m very pleased to see this old girl finally getting some attention!

Good to see she’s going to have some TLC at last, rather than rotting out in the cold.

According to my pal, when I last spoke to him, she’ll be given a good going over and then put on display at Wycombe Air Park.

Needs a lot of work, I climbed inside – in a clandestine fashion – last year and there was green slime everywhere.

:p

It’ll never fly again, the spar was cut before it went to Southend.

Think I know who’s behind this and, based on their past performance, it’s in safe hands.

Not a very well represented example in the UK, pleased her future is more secure…hopefully?
