dark light

"Behind you…..!!"

Blimey!

I nearly baled out when I looked in my rear view mirror driving up the A274 through Headcorn yesterday and spotted this right on my tail. I then realised that those little winking lights were just the indicators…..!!!

Why did that classic line: “Behind you, Andy!” come to mind?

🙂

would have looked better on a BMW!

A tandem seat Messerschmitt would be better yet.

None of you dare to paint a (Triumph) Spitfire to rout the invader?

Don’t make me come to the UK with a Mustang… 🙂
BTW: My last (Ford) Mustang had the personal number plate “P-51”.

All

I would be glad to own one, I rather like them. They are not all that common in Australia. The long distances and the kangaroos and cattle on the road tend to make Australians buy a bigger car.

My car of choice at the moment would be a Toyota Land Cruiser! Followed by a Mazda RX8 (to go with my RX7)

cheers

I have to say the Smartcar is not sad – other car manufacturers obviously see some sense in it (Toyota iGo for example). And as Rocketeer states it was the other Smart models which were money losers – though why the Coupe/Roadster was dumped I don’t know. I quite liked the Coupe.
The ForFour was an OK car – I drove one for a few days.

Guess seeing them parked nose in to the kerb on the street, in that little gap that always seems to occur at the end of a parking area, just pees off some motorists!!! 😀

And to think Mercedes produce this car at a loss…..oh dear you have to be a sad individual to buy a smart car let al:diablo:one delete this post (HAR HAR) Mercedes lose £4865 per car produced ( on the smart car line) and the owners well i think they lose their dignity:D

There speaks the uninitiated!!! I have had two, I may be eccentric but never ‘sad’ IMHO! They go well and are fun. Mercedes and Swatch developed the initial version of what is now the ForTwo. The money losers were NOT the Fortwos but the ForFours and Coupe/roadsters.

Seeing the Smart brings to mind the superb art-work from the Boy’s Own Battle of Britain book by Peter Cross!

It is one and the same.

I think I posted here (or somewhere!) a link to this outfit’s website, saying that I posted it “without further comment”. Read into that whatever you will.

I see that others on other forums have been less circumspect in their comments.

However, and the “fun” element of these Smart cars aside, best to just leave others to make up their own minds about the organisation concerned, perhaps?

I believe those little things go like sh1t off a shovel

My Mrs had one for 3 years – and yes they are pretty darned quick if you can get the hang of the ‘gearbox’ thing. 700cc turbocharged engine, plastic body, light Merc engine, minute turning circle …. 😀 Scary on motorways at 90 though 😮

Hmmm… it has the insignia for ZG26 “Horst Wessel.” Surely it should be much bigger if its a Zerstorer? 🙂
