Berkshire Aviation Museum

Seeing as how I had a day off work today, I popped over to the Museum of Berkshire Aviation at Woodley, near Reading this morning. It’s a nice little museum (if a bit cramped) with friendly attendants – mostly Miles or Handley Page “old boys”. A nice couple of hours spent prowling around and they let me onto the Herald too!

Here are a few pictures I took

I didn’t take any more pictures. I realised afterwards that I should have taken one of the Martinet – I just got into too many conversations with the “staff”. As I said, they’re a friendly bunch.

Thanks for posting the photo’s Eric Mc – any more?
This is one of the museums on my list for this year.
I remember the Jet Gyrodyne being at Cosford some years back. The last time I saw it was on the back of a low-loader going down the M40, as I was on my way to France. It was getting some very strange looks from the people driving past it!
