Recently read an article about a Berkshire Aviation Tours show in which it stated ” a certain local gentleman gave it as his opinion that there was nothing in flying a plane and although he had never flown before he thought he could fly the machine himself. Some argument resulted so the company decided to loan the gentleman a machine in which he will endeavour to fly alone..”
My first thought was it was one of BAT’s own pilots among the spectators and it would be the Crazy Flying routine. However,
the advert lists eight separate events including Crazy Flying, The Flying Fool and a Special Item – His First Flight.
So which event is being described in the article and was there a clear difference between the three events or were they all broadly similar?
