Bernie Ecclestone Guilty or Innocent ?

Hi All,
Cant see another thread about this pillock. I am I the only one who thinks he has cheated justice with his pay off ? When interviewed about it he insists he was found innocent he paid to make it go away ?? How is this justice when you have a German system that allows you to basically bribe the courts to make the charges dissapear, in my mind he has not answered the charges brought against him and has in effect done exactly the same as he was charged with in the first place and all because he has amassed so much fortune where the fine he paid was mind boggling to everyday folk but just a miniscule amount to him and would never miss it.

Hi All,
Charlie,
Your spot on again matey, I don’t know if what I recall is correct but I think it was called AI-F1 design type of cars racing, but they had the right Idea all raced the same type of car with the same engine (please correct if I am wrong) I think it may have possibly involved a team from so many countries rather than a select few like F1.
I mean I think it’s got to a point in the WSB ? one category for the top elite if you like then another category for a lower class (Pleas correct if wrong)

Sorry Paul – too simplistic. Give any driver in the top flight a good car and they will win.

Hi All,
In IMHO it is called Racing not winning because I am No.1 Team driver and when you compete accidents happen always has done always will do. Having said that this obviously goes back to the Hungary race and the Team Orders (Which I am totally against) all racers should race equally and be given equal support both on and off the track.
What goes on in team meetings should stay there but again it comes down to Team Orders this is the cause of so many problems within teams, going back to when Schumacher was the shining light being given the priority on so many cases rather than having to win by skill alone and may I add took my passion away from F1 as I suspect a few others lost interest too.
That’s not to say he is not a good driver but rather he has had the privilege of being the golden boy in whatever team. IMHO preferential treatment of some so called superstar drivers has ruined along with other influences what was a good sport now it’s all about Money and Team Orders along with drivers acting like spoilt brats rather than getting on with what they are paid for.
I am sorry to say that in Motorbike racing they do it on their own ability and has kept to the true identity and spirit of racing unlike F1 weather these Team orders happen in other forms of Car racing I have no clue but as far as F.1 goes it has been spoiled for me personally.

Just read this
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/28921431

If MB had any honour they would sack him now. Rosberg could kill some one if that is his mindset

Hi All,
Nicolas,
I Agree with you to much money to make it a sport more worried about sponsors and making even more money than the sporting spectacle it was and should be. 🙁

Another reason why European laws are incompatible with British sensibilities.

I don’t know WTF you are talking about, but he is definitely guilty of ruining formula 1 as a sport and turning it into an in-digest spectacle.

Hi All,
So the final outcome of this little chapter is the saying Money Talks is true!

…under false pretences…

Something he can get his solicitors to look into and, possibly, sue somebody?

Well does it really matter? He admits to paying the money but claims it was paid under false pretences. If he’d been found guilty in five years time he probably would have been fined a vast sum anyway.

My feeling is that he paid to ensure that he wasn’t given the chance to be found guilty.

Or, for that matter, innocent…
