Best 9-abreast layout

For most other numbers of people abreast, there is one most favourable and generally preferred seat configuration. Not so with 9 abreast.

2-5-2 contains a middle-middle seat.

3-3-3 means both window columns are 2 seats from an aisle – in 2-5-2, only the middle-middle seat is 2 seats from an aisle.

2-4-3 or 3-4-2 have only 1 window seat column 2 seats from an aisle. Also 2-4-3 allows easy accommodation for groups of different size. But this is asymmetric, so apart from looks, every seat is unique, if they are maintained or replaced.

Which layout do you think is the best and why?

Is there any significant difference in comfort, in the asymmetric layouts like 2-4-3 but also 2-2-1, 2-3, 1-2, depending on which side the aisles are moved to? Some features of the aircraft are not paired on both sides.
