My question to all is: What is the best aircraft for private pilot training. I actually dont know of any current prduction aircraft I would personally recomend as an all aound good trainer. However awhile back a spoke to a WW2 flight instructor and he told me the Ryan PT-16 (or ST-A) was far superior to the stearman and produced better quality pilots. Heres a pic of that a/c:
