Moggy did that Ford have a Cosworth engine? (sorry for thread drift)

No, that one had the 125bhp Yamaha / Ford 1.7 VCT

The second one I owned was the Tickford developed Racing Puma with 155 bhp from what was basically the same engine

I don’t think any Puma had a Cosworth engine. Great looking cars, had to be fast as you didn’t have any visibility to the rear :diablo:

I was on detachment to Lista in Norway back in the 80’s and an American C-130 hit a Reindeer on landing. Took out most the undercarriage fairing on the left side.
Strangely we had Reindeer stew that night in the mess and there were plenty of jokes about still being able to see the paint on the lumps of meat!

£1,600 worth of damage.

It was my second – the first being around 1987.

And a badger in the early 1990s

Wildlife has it in for me 😡

That is quite a common occurrence here in Africa, one usually has to do a couple of low passes over the runway first to scare the game away. Or prearrange with the local game wardens to chase them away when you arrive overhead. A Dash 8 hit a large warthog at Kimberley (FAKM), which is a municipal airport, and was substantially damaged a while back. Correction: it was an Aardvark.
