Just a few from Friday morning. With (The son in law)
Must have been mad, up till 2am working, then down to airport to take photographs at 8am.

Its Argosy E.1 XR137 at Northolt where they filmed a program on him for the South Bank Show. They accidentally set it on fire while filming

I agree that the spinner looks very blunt for an Argosy, but Dahl did publish in Argosy magazine in the 1950s. Any relation, I wonder.

I am taking a punt and I think it is an Armstrong Whitworth Argosy as well.

Hey Touchstone… I am of the same ilk… got an awful lot to learn.
They go awful fast and make an awful noise.. but they are simply fascinating.

The Gulfstream belongs to a company called Metropix. I tried to do a bit of research on them a while ago and if I recall correctly they are officialy one of these business management kind of firms. That plane sure gets around a lot though, based at Luton but often seen in Africa, South America and Australasia.
