Does anyone have photographs of rudders from Bf 109s and Fw 190s under construction/restoration? Any photographs of the bare frames, ribs, hinges, etc., and anything showing how the fabric was attached would be of interest. Anything from bare bones to the finished, covered rudders. Not any particular model – from 109E to 109G/K (I understand the latter had wooden rudders) and from 190A3 to 190D.
Thanks.

Thanks, HP 57 and Italian Harvard. I’ll check out the website. And, yes, dig out the drawings when you get chance to do so. Anything will help. Thanks.

Aero-art in Germany sells newbuilt 109 rudders at a price. See the Stormbirds website for a link.

Sure. I’m researching the design and construction of a full-scale rudder. I’m working on an experimental aircraft.
