Bhx 11/01/03

Went to BHX Sunday afternoon again. Not a bad afternoon apart from the huge downpour which reduced visibility to about fifty yards for a few minutes.

Hope you enjoy the photos, first up is a First Choice 757

Also Comet due to their “special relationship” all the ground handling etc. at BHX will be handled by BA for SN. They were extremely helpful and very nice when I flew from there in November, just don’t buy any food in the terminal! My uncle shelled out £10 for a soggy cooked breakfast and got a much nicer one for free on the plane. We only paid £5 for that flight to BA and all!

Thanks LBARULES. The last two Ryanair ones were much lower quality I’ve just noticed, I think this is because I resized them twice. Oh well, you get the general idea.

Kev, Cheers for clearing the BY B757 up. Just wanted to know as BYAI brought me back from Corfu in the summer. More great pics by the way, you seem to be very good at capturing the SN 319.

Wannabe, terrific pictures especially the EZY and the Bizjet. And how can you say the Titan 146 is bad quality? Its a beauty!

And this wasn’t too bad either. That’s about all I could save!

Love the Ryanair and the biz shot. Is it a Gulf? The light in the Ryanair shot is great. Your EZY shot looks too good, almost like it’s photoshopped.

I’m sorry!;)

Thanks for the comments, the biz-jet is a Bombardier Global Express. And the Easyjet was one of my lucky ones! It hasn’t been photoshopped at all, I was very pleased at how I got it in the frame, although the quality isn’t all that good.

LBA Rules.

It was BYAI, can’t remember what the other one was, but then again I’ve seen them all that many times. Seems 757’s will be around at BHX for some time to come.

Comet

You’ll be flying from the Eurohub. SNBA flights board at one of the stands in that row. It’s just a couple of minute walk from the Eurohub to where I took that photo. If you’re staying at BHX on the previous night let me know because there’s some good spots within walking distance

I’m starting a part 2 because there’s some shots left that I think are ok and it will save on download time.

I like this angle! Not sure about the light though. I think this tree gives it a nice Wintery effect.

Yes great pics Kev, thanks for sharing. All weekend it rained, and I just managed to get a while at Stansted yesterday. And then today, the skies are perfect and clear! When I’m at school! Always the way. This was quite a nice visitor.

Kev – that’s a beauty, thanks for showing it!

My Belgian sources tell me that soon the A319 is to be removed from BHX-BRU and replaced by the ARJ. That’s typical because that is what I’ll be going on instead of the Airbus!

Great pictures as usual Kev.
In the tail line up shot is the Britannia G-BYAJ or G-BYAI? (The 1st old colour schemed one I mean.

Great photos Kev! I am flying from BHX for the first time in March (I have never even spotted there) and it is nice to see photos of the airlines and aircraft which use the airport. It looks like a good airport for photography, but I won’t get much, if any, chance to take photos or spot while I’m there, as I have a morning flight (8:50) and I land back in the evening.

Nice shots as usual Kev. Great shot of the tail line up. Still prefer that old BY c/s.

Great pics again Kevin, I think I’ll be seeing that PIA A310 at Glasgow in the spring.
