Hi guys,
Me and PG Tips Monkeh went down to BHX today.
It was a bit of a frustrating day, I can understand why people hate backlit shots now. It just made everything look unsharp…ugh…
Anyways posting what I thought were me best shots. I don’t think they were as good as last time I went, I’m really gonna have to find a place where I can shoot with the sun behind me. Any comments and tips are really welcome again 🙂

I wonder if the consumption of alcohol would reduce his ability to a) stand still whilst we’re taking photos and b) reflect just the right amount of light. 😀 :rolleyes:

Thanks for all the comments guys, and spotting tips! 🙂 Will have to see if you can walk it to the old terminal, seems a bit of a treck from the car park though.
By the way, if anyone has any backlighting problems in the future I have a very good tip. Pay my travel costs and other expenses (could be expensive if alcohol is involved), and I’ll come down, stand near where you are with your camera, wear a white T-Shirt, and my rather ample gut should reflect enough light to balance the exposure properly!

superb collection of shots! i especially like the Emirates ones; that isrcraft is really beautiful in those colours. i will have to get myself down to BHX one day; the only time i have been anywhere near it is whilst being on the train. “Monkeh” appears to be enjoying hinself!

Good work, Monkeh, despite the backlighting! Interesting angle on the KLM Pitychoper! (re-arrange the letters, it does work!)

I think EI-CVC was following me yesterday 🙂 I saw her at about 1800 departing to FRA must have done DUB-BHX-DUB-FRA-DUB and was running an hour late.
