Popped to BHX again early evening, just a few more for you to enjoy. First one’s for Comet.

Great Pictures!
I only live about a half-hour to 45 minutes from BHX and should try visiting more often.
I must admit i’ve never went up on the car park viewing area should try it more often.

Kev once again a selection of excellent snaps you have provided us with. Thanks. 🙂
Speaking of airlinepics.com… is it working? I tried to upload a few pictures but it wouldn’t work.
By: kev35 - 26th August 2003 at 20:50
Haven’t tried because I think Airliners.net appear too snobby for me. If you like the picture and the subject you like it. It seems much of their stuff is taken by professionals or semi professionals with really expensive equipment. I’ve got a few on Airlinepics.com. I’d like my own little website but haven’t a clue how to do it.
Anyway, I’m chuffed with the comments I get from you guys.

The downside of High Street digital camera’s is the amount of time the camera takes to reset itself for the next picture. This is a hassle when you try to get a few shots of a fast moving plane coming into land.

Have any of your shots with the Fuji 2800 been excepted on anything like airliners.net or jetphotos? Or haven’t you tried?
By: kev35 - 26th August 2003 at 20:36
Mine’s a Fuji 2800. Could do with something with a few more pixels and a lot less shutter lag but can’t afford it. I’m reasonably happy with the results. Of course, you don’t see the hundreds of shots I delete.;)
I’ll put a few more up from yesterday.

Ok thanks. I might have to think about getting up there by train sometime soon. You are quite lucky that you have varied scheduled services, not just low cost unlike Stansted : (
I know you have probably been asked before and sorry for asking again, but what camera do you have? I am really tempted to get a digital camera but I need some info. I might start a new thread soon to ask about information on digital cameras. Im sure there are loads of people that know what they’re talikng about (unlike me!!!!!!!!)

Great pics Kev, you keep surpassing yourself with every posting. The motion blur picture is great, these are the kind of pics I like to see, something different. 😎 If you can get hold of a tripod you’ll get a better effect as the background will (should) stay perfectly sharp.

First of all thanks to everyone for the kind comments.
Dazza. These were all taken at the official outdoor viewing area which is on the long stay car park. (5 quid for up to 8 hours.) You could park on there and catch the courtesy bus down to the terminal with your parents. It’s worth visiting the Aviation Experienc up in Terminal One as it has an Ian Allan bookshop and excellent view across to the main runway.
When are you going” I might be able to meet up with you. Hope this helps,

Nice pictures mate, where on the airport did you take the pictures from, I’ve got to drop my parents off in a couple of weeks and I’m thinking of stopping for an hour or two to take some pictures myself.
Regards, Dazza.:)

wannabe pilot.
Hi there. I was at BHX from 1800 to 2030 last night and I saw the aircraft pictured, obviously, and also Islandsflug 737, Irish Citation, 12 to 15 assorted RJ’s and 146’s of BA, Lufthansa 737 and CRJ, Eurowings CRJ, Crossair CRJ, Buzz 146, two or three Flybe Dash 8’s, two Flybe 146’s, a KLM F100, TCX 757, three or four My travel/Myt lite a/c, a Eurojet F100 and a Turkmenistan Airlines 757. Not bad for a Bank Holiday Monday, bearing in mind some flights were cancelled due to the holiday.

How busy is Birmingham? Is it comparable to Stansted? I think usually we get about a movement every 2 minutes.
By: kev35 - 26th August 2003 at 17:38
And now a BAE ATP WITHOUT the cloaking device;)
By: kev35 - 26th August 2003 at 17:36

Rumour has it Duo are trying to economise on the high price of fuel. Still, I don’t think the tug will ever get the CRJ to VR….
Nice view of the old terminal though.
