A BMI British Midland A321 will be seen at Brum this Saturday operating a Malaga sub-service for Monarch.
It is scheduled to arrive back at 1200 GMT (1300 local) and will layover before departing back to Heathrow at 1515 GMT (1615 local).
Just thought I’d let you know in case you wanted to catch a glimpse of this aircraft at BHX.

Thanks Moondance, also what is PROB30 ?

Very close, only minor corrections, most important being the first bit.
021025Z = date & time of the issue of the forecast (2/4 at 1025Z)
021812 = peroid of validity, commences at 1800Z on 2/4, valid until 1200Z on 3/4
Otherwise correct, except for BECMG 0811 = becoming between 0800-1100Z
Well done!

I live by Cannock Chase, We tend to get a lot of activity when 15 is the active runway.

Well, the forecast suggests 15 to be the favourite for tomorrow.
As for CHASE, it features on the charts, but with the standard radar vectors from the south, don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere near it for real!
If you really want to find out where these places are, go to www.ais.org.uk (you will need to register) follow the links to the UK AIP, and all the CAA UK airport charts are there.
You will find CHASE to be N52 36.48 W001 55.02, or slightly easier, 315 Radial from DTY at 39DME.
And finally, if you want find what waypoints are named after, try www.reportingpoints.info which says its named after Cannock Chase.

I’m not a pilot but I can tell you where CHASE is!
It is an intersection at the end of the approach for runway 15, roughly 12 miles out from the airfield. 🙂

I think I might pop across to see if I can get a shot of that. Hopefully they’ll be using 33 as they are today. Makes for decent approach shots (assuming of course that you’re a photographer:o ). Can any of the pilots give me the name of the area or town on which the ‘Chase Hold’ is centred please? Could it actually be Barr or Sedgley beacons?
regards,
