Bierset Liege runway extension: permission granted

The runway at Liege Bierset airport, mainly operated by TNT cargo, will be extended. This means 747 freighters will be able to operate from the airport at MTOW. One of it’s two runways will be extended, so it will have a total length of 3700 meters. It’s current length is 3284 meters.
Behind TNT cargo, the airport is also used by Icelandair cargo for example, and more or less one daily flight by Thomas Cook Belgium or TUI Airlines Belgium to a popular holiday destination.

Other airlines operating from EBLG (the ones who mostly use 747’s):

China Southern
CAL (At least 1 flight daily)
I used to often see Atlas Air there too.

Then smaller planes with Channel Express, and some companies with Electras

And, apart of 1 747 during the night, I must say I barely hear planes, and they overfly me.
