Hey all,
I’ve not been about much lately, sadly down to work and personal commitments. Though I do still manage to peek at the forums now and again. 🙂 There’s been some stunning photos on here as of late from everybody!
I thought to “make a comeback” (lol) – I’d post up a big bunch of shots that I took from a 3 hour stint at LHR, all taken Tuesday of last week (5/6/07) from the end of 09L.
Pretty much your standard LHR traffic, though I have tried my best to get a few different angles etc.
One aircraft gave us people on the ground a fright (I expect those onboard were laying bricks too!). G-VGOA of Virgin got hit my a massive crosswind sending it flying off to the left. It got so bad that it aborted – my pics of her below show her coming in and the at the point of crosswind attack and abort.
Anyhow, enough of my gabbing on…. here’s my photos!
Enjoy!!!!

Nice to see you back Andy! Superb shots for your comeback! Your 777 and A340 shots do the aircraft justice. 🙂

Some lovely shots there, Andy. Love the DC-10 through the trees!

Some fantastic pictures there. I must admit i always like the 09L arrivals compared to the 27 lot. The VS Go Around must have been a sight to see, afterall the best ive seen is a 757 go around.
Some great shots mate, keep up the good work.
Plus, nice to see a Air Newzealand B747 as i always thought they operated a B772 into LHR.

Two questions…
Who is the red and white livery overflying?
LTU A330 (new c/s)
What was the VS incident?

Superb selection, Mr. Simpson! The Bangladesh DC-10 through the trees and the Virgin Atlantic go-around are perfect! 🙂
