Just passing on the info from the respective RAF Bomber Command Losses volumes. Guess there isn’t a chance that it could have been dragged on shore?

hey flood , yo are great !!!
many thanks for your work !!!
now I can put same informations into my website !!
the “un-user friendly”, he came from Kiel too? I thinks I know him…
one data are misterious:
28.06.1940, Page Hampden, 61.sqdn, L4112:
you wrote, the a/c crashed in Kiel Bay. But I have informations, that the a/c crashed on land. the dead crewmember was found on a field in the near of the crash.
1KIA, 3POW is right. I have the details from original list of War Cemetary in Kiel…
Maybe your data is wrong?
thanks again for your great help !

the ´n´th its from me !
I have only the numbers of sqdn. and maybe the type of a/c
In the list are no us- a/c .
I was joking – ‘xx’th Sqn is American style and has no relevance in a list of RAF squadrons.
Complied using the various Bomber Command Losses volumes (but without consulting the amendments list since I find them terribly un-user friendly):

Pathfinder,
For this kind of work wouldn’t it be a good idea to invest in some well known books such as Bomber Command Losses, Fighter Command Losses etc. This will give you an excellent library where you can have instant information that will lead you into further investigations.
Just a tip, I have been there myself. 🙂
Cheers

Nils
for the 8th April 1944 there is no Bomber Command loss – also not on several dates earlier or later…….
Must be an USAAF aircraft or the wrong date.
See here for the RAF Bomber Command Diary:
