Re the SOK Spit, i spoke to derek on the stall and he said they werent asked this year. Also it had an oil leak so couldnt fly anyway with the new on the table ready for installation. Clive over did it apparently :-). I asked would it fly at legends but the reply was if they want us yes but they tend to go for the foreign ones first.

Hi Gary
Nice shots. The Tornado/smoke shot is my favourite
It was nice to see you too on Saturday.
Perhaps you will be at Kemble or Halton this weekend.

Thanks Daz.
MH434 one of the most photogenic spits around, looks just right not over restored.

Great pics – particularly like the one of ‘434 taxiing back, for some reason!

James,
SallyB was due to be at Biggin, but is currently at Duxford awaiting a new engine, it is hoped that SallyB will be ready for Flying legends.

Thanks everyone.
Now a few answers.
Manston Airport; The Kent Spit was in the static only, it did seem strange that it didn’t display, but I had heard it was meant to go to France on the Friday but bad weather on route led to Clive Denney retuning TA805 back to Biggin.
As far as I know the Meteor is still part of the Air
Atlantique stable.Oakley; Nikon D300 with a 300mm F2.8 VR lens plus a 1.4 converter.

Thank you for the reply Septic.Oh I forgot to ask where Sally-B she normal at Biggin Hill 😮

😮 There’s not much clearance between MH434 and Ferocious Frankie
Nice pics. I like the head on DC-6.
There is loads of room. The focal length of the lens leads to the illusion of them being closer.
Cheers

Did like the Bleriot – and the heat from the explosions was impressive.
Great photos – what are you using?
