had plenty flying in over Orpington today,P-51,Spitfire,Gnat pair,Skyraider,Alpha Jet,Typhoons,Strikemasters.this Sunday will be my 20th consecutive Air Fair.Sea Vixen and Vulcan are the highlights for me but it looks like a really good programme.always a good show just hope the weather and traffic play ball!.

A few photos today showing the Sea Vixen doing a practice display during the afternoon and a some of the aircraft visible this evening from the main road.

I would have included the Apache and Lynx, but I messed up with the focus :rolleyes:

Yeap…In a word snubbed by the organisors.

I understand the Kent Spitfire is involved in a charity/Veteran event tomorrow, live on GMTV at Biggin.
Nothing to do with the Air fair though.

Display Times For The Red Arrows And the Vulcan
Thursday 25th June 2009

The Red Arrows:
Saturday – Display begins sometime between 13:30 and 14:00
Sunday – Flypast with Virgin 747 sometime between 13:50 and 14:20
Sunday – Display begins sometime between 15:45 and 16:10

The Vulcan:
Saturday – Display begins sometime between 14:30 and 15:00
Sunday – Display begins sometime between 15:10 and 15:40

Any idea why the Kent spitfire that is based at Biggin, is not taking part, I would of thought that this would be ideal to display in its front garden.

I cant wait for this airshow! I now see that the Sea Vixen is to fly too! It hasn’t flown at Biggin for a couple of years now and the last time I saw it it was wearing that Red Bull scheme.
