I see from my Facebook feed that the ex-Canadian Bf109e at Biggin Hill ran its engine today. Exciting stuff – can’t wait to see it at Legends at some point!
For the FB-literate, there’s a video on their page at https://www.facebook.com/BigginHillHeritageHangar/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED 🙂

Any idea when it ‘ll be on show, anywhere?

No, it was completed at Wattisham, and got to ground run and ground testing stage before it was shipped to the USA.

Didn’t the Bf109e now with the Flying Heritage Collection in the USA fly a couple of test flights over the UK? I’m sure it was rebuilt/built over here…
Still, it’ll probably be the first Emil making an aggressive low-level pass at Duxford since the 1940s!

I doubt planes worry about anything

Probably very safe to say that this one will be at L……
I got to see it a few times here in Canada.
It’s very cool. Enjoy!!
This will probably be the first time a 109E has flown over the U.K. since the 1940’s huh?

Latest series of Combat Dealers features the very same hanger.
Nice shots of the 109 and air to airs with the Spitfires.
Worth a watch.

I’d love to see it fly at Flying Legends this year! It would undoubtedly be the star of the show!
