Here’s a few pictures from what seemed like a very hazy Biggin on Saturday.

Nice. 🙂
I like the fact that the images are toned down by the haze. A shiny warbird is nice, but…!

indeed. . . Mr. Ray Hanna . . . . .
a God amongst display pilots – frankly I would have paid £20 to watch his display of MH434 ALONE . . . . . . yes, sure he flies low, but that’s not the main “attraction” – he seems to somehow have complete “communion” with the aeroplane and seems able to put it into exactly the right “places” to make it look like the icon it is . . . .
And as Brendan O’Brien pointed out on commentary – Ray is nearer 80 than 70. . . . . . if I can fly to even 1% of Ray’s ability at 70 something then I will be a happy man . . . .
And for me a statement of how watchable his display is must be the fact that all eyes around me were focused on that Spitfire – from the BBMF fighter pilots, thru the “avid” enthusiasts to simple Mrs. Joe Public with three screaming kids – a more “total” appeal than even the ubiquitous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (!) and a spontaneous round of applause as Ray climbed out of the cockpit at the end. . . .
Mr. Hanna . . . . to you sir . . . . . RESPECT . . . . .
