Hi guys,

Recently I´ve found this interesting pic…

..and this apparently is the original image:

A biplane in the top of a tree…

I would like to ask for your kind help in order to identify the type….

This particular a/c attracted my attention due its uncommon location of roundels….. in the tailplanes..

Despite the french stamp, I guess It´s a British machine according the roundels… Am I wrong?

TIA guys

Alberto

A BE2c with the earlier, skid-type undercarriage. Roundels or cockades as they were known were first applied late 1914/early 1915. Initially, in the absence of clear orders, their placement was a bit random!

Try Google Images. French, crashed in Belgium, during WWI, 1915.
