Birmingham Viewing Areas

Hi guys.

I was just wondering if the viewing area beside the car park at Birmingham had been re-opened (assuming thats what they were doing) yet?

I have a week off from uni, but need to do some survey work for my dissertation…plus some aircraft photography 😉 this week.

You’d be able to get both pics of runway ends I think 🙂 At the end of 15, theres a big park right next to Marston Green train station, you could just about get shots of the end of the runway here but you’d have to crop out the fence.

The car park would be fine for runway pictures.

Ahhh that’s annoying, I need pictures of both ends of the runway, associated hazzards, clearways stopways etc.

Fraid not. There’s the gallery in the terminal which is utter rubbish. The car park, however, despite the closure of the viewing area is still pretty good. The car park is extended so you can now get closure to planes on approach.
