After an attack of gremlins on my little movie camera, and about half a dozen learning curves on film making, I think I have finally finished a short film of my helicopter ride in company with HAC’s Hurricane over the White Cliffs of Dover, and the Capel le Ferne B of B memorial.
The hasty Pan Pan landing by Charlie Brown in the Spitfire was caused by a faulty oil pressure reading. A willing public pushed the aircraft back to the hanger, and Charlie had the rest of the day off.
How often can one fly over the white cliffs, in formation with a legend, and then salute the ‘Few’ from the air over Capel le Ferne..
Come fly with me:

I’m lost here – we have you in another helicopter? Thought that there was only one with viewers??
I had to opt out of the trip offered – nearest I got was 2010 in the Airbus.

I got socks for my birthday.
Interesting little film, which also underlines how difficult it is do undertake air-air photography.
Agreed, I had a problem with the telephoto lens on this borrowed camera, and things happen so fast that it became difficult to enjoy the flight and film at the same time…….the 23/25 clip shows the pixels having a couple of seconds in mid life crisis, and the camera speed could not keep pace with the spinning prop……still it was a great day and I’m well pleased with the outcome.

I was watching that with the sound off, and the bit at 23 seconds had me worried…
