Bit of North Weald action…+ a couple of others

Out flying today, spent some time at North Weald. Also caught one of the Dassault Mystere at Headcorn. Hope you like ’em 🙂 The first one was an aerial shot of the Dehavilland museum near Hatfield.
Lots of compression unfortunately 🙁

They’ve not moved for at least 18 months. A shocking waste!

And the rest 🙁

Are those C-54s being left to rot outside North Weald? They’ve not moved for at least 18 months. A shocking waste!

Great photos.

Shame the C-54’s could not have some TLC from time to time.

The odd engine run-up, tires kicked etc. The Perspex covered up.

They would be worth more.

Hope they don’t end up like the B-25…

I’m sure if you want to make them an offer they sell ’em.

They were bought over to be used in a film about the Berlin Airlift. The film company that was meant to use them has since gone bust, and are waiting for someone else to take up the oppurtunity.

Thanks very much for the comments every body! 🙂

Nice view of the museum – I used to dread these shots; it looked so untidy!

Much better now though!

Cheers

Nice shots, WP. It should be against the law for that Mustang to fly with an empty seat !. That B25 ( background) is looking really rough now

Looks like an interesting day out and it appears the weather was better than it was where I was on Saturday.
