If it wasnt for her accident I wonder if she would have been auctioned off?

First time I saw her, I was very new to the scene, Spitfire ML417 roared acorss the line at Waddington, chasing black 6. At the time I was so new I didnt realise that later model 109s had round wing tips!

I saw her fly once at Duxford, wonderful, a really different sound to a Buchon. Looking at her at the museum a couple of weeks ago I came to mind the image of a caged eagle.
