A wee while ago there was a thread in which B-17 “Sally B” was being used (along with a Luftwaffe-decorated Harvard) in a new Dutch war movie, directed by Paul “Total Recall” Verhoeven.
The film, Black Book, is out now on general release.

If any of you are remotely interested! 😉
The two planes are probably only in the film for a moment, but at least the film-makers used the real thing!

Yea its a really good film. The Sally B stuff is short but looks great as its real instead of CGI. The rest of the film i really enjoyed. I thought it might have got an oscar nomination for Best foreign language film.
If you want to see it I wouldn’t hang around. It hasn’t done that well as it’s got a lot of competion at the moment so won’t be about for long.

Indeed you’ll only see Sally B in the first three minutes of the film, the film is still worth seeing though. As a bonus there is a scene further on in the film when supplies are dropped and a shot of a B-25 is used for that sequence. Not much of an aviation score, but there are other reasons for seeing movies, right? 😉
