Hi I just received my copies of the 1970’s tv series BAA BAA Black Sheep and after getting to watch all the episodes again it raised the questions where did they get all the corsairs from. There appears to be several variants in play in the series as there are some early 3 blader and even a 4 blade corsair being used in the flight series.
Does anyone know the identities of the aircraft and if any of them are still flying today?

Season 2
Season 2 Of Black Sheep Squadron was due for release in Canada on the 3rd of July. No sign of it in the shops yet however. On the flip side both season 2 and 3 of Airwolf are in the stores here in Canada.

Apologies for resurrecting this old thread but if anyone was dithering about getting this series it’s now up for £9.99 on play.com. Just ordered mine.
No sign of Volume 2 or 3 though.

Rgr that OldSpitty I received them ok that was great thank you again. It has been way to darn cold up until this week to be bothered putting the heat on in the shop to work on the Spit. So I have been having to find other diversions to fill my spare time with – one can only stare at the CAD screen so long while trapped indoors LOL. You will have to get the Piece of Cake movie to add to your collection it is the best.
BBBS is pretty good I love the flying although it is funny to see Battle of Britain flight scenes mixed in here and there. Its like that is no F4 or zero I saw black crosses on that bird.
If you have read Boyington’s book it portrays them quite well as the bunch of misfits that they were although the individual stories are fictional – but after reading his exploits they would have done it been given the chance.
Cheers

Thoroughly enjoyed it – missed it when new in the 1970s but picked it up last year – the flying is good fun and as long as you view it as tongue in cheek is fab entertainment – in addition to the corsairs you get Grumman Ducks, ‘zeros’ a B-25, C-47….etc….
well worth getting it at a cheap price – I think mine was £15 on sale
