Can anyone help with the most likely colours of the spinner, blades and front part of the engine on the B20, they seem to be very different colours from the rest of the scheme which is (I’m assuming) grey/green. There is some reflection on the spinner which suggests to me that it could be a natural metal finish and the part behind could be white or yellow but I’m hoping someone has a definitive answer.

Thanks, I didn’t think that it could be yellow as it is far too light and it can’t be the underside scheme as there is an area where this meets the light so painted aluminium would make sense with the actual spinner being polished metal.

I agree with David. It’s not yellow, because that would appear black to orthochromatic film. There’s quite a well known picture of the Miles Monitor prototype in black… which it never wore – it was yellow.

Pretty certain they are either painted aluminium or polished metal
Colour behind them looks like the underside colour – not sure if it would be yellow, as I’d expect that to be darker as the picture staken at Blackburn’s at Dumbarton seem to be oethochromatic (Contrasty TSS scheme, blue lighter than red on roundels)

Aircraft was almost certainly Temperate Sea Scheme of Dark Slate Grey/Extra Dark Sea Grey.
