Lots of airports now have both BCN and GRO flights, they seem to work well together.

Flex – Lets put it to bed now eh? Im not saying they will start flights, still saying that a 738 would have NO probs though ;).

LBA already have a Barcelona route so i doubt Ryanair would do a Gerona route, however it is always welcome 🙂

I dont think Jet 2 would scare Ryanair

I think the fact that BLK – GRO is possible with a Ryanair 738 on a runway of just over 6000 feet, proves my argument that LBA – GRO would be possible with a runway length of over 7000 ;).

It not just to do with the runway length, LBA is good few miles up from BLK, Ryanair’s de-rated engines, and honastly why would they start any extra services out of LBA anyway?

Turin isnt even a FR base. Surely CIA, BGY, HHN, CRL, Skvasta, Murcia, Pisa, Eindhoven and probably some more destinations would come before Turin as a potential BLK flight

Sorry to take this completely off topic…

Anyway…. back on topic…

Didn’t Monarch once think of starting up Malaga services from LBA basing an A321.

SCFC – The A320 was due to be delivered to Virgin Nigeria from Balkan Holidays, but hadnt at the time, so was flying around for BH Air in Virgin Nigeria colours.

Was operating a charter flight to Bulgaria at the time…

Thanks. I still, like a three year old, have a lot to learn.

?! 😮 Virgin Nigeria don’t have any A318s AFAIK, and even if they did I’m certain they wouldn’t be flying them to BLK!

Okay, it doesn’t exactly say it will be flying but i have the note here.

“Although not delivered to its airline, Airbus A320-211 (Ooops i got that wrong) LZ-BHB, c/n 294 (ex OY-CNP), of BH Air Balkan Holidays has been operating a number of charter flights in its new Virgin Nigeria colours, including one to Blackpool Airport, UK, on May 18.”

OK i got it wrong but hey, i apologise.

No, i can’t remember the whole story and i can’t find the issue but in Airliner World about two issues back it mentioned that Virgin Nigeria was flying an Airbus A318 to Nigeria from Blackpool. If i’m wrong i apologise but i’ll try and find the story.

Ive never heard about runway problems in the past but Im not an expert in those things. As for charges, they are normally a big factor in airline route decisions. I assume Excel are paying these charges – A lot of flights arrive back in the early hours of the morning

Perhaps HUY need to be a bit more flexible to attract new airlines and services?
