Blenheim IV N6211

have a family connection with this airframe – my mum’s cousin was shot down and killed in it in February 1940 off the Fresian Islands. Managed to find a lot about this aircraft and it’s last mission and have even managed through an intermediary to ask the pilot who shot it down, Wolfgang Falke, whether he could provide further details – sadly he couldn’t.

Even found a profile of Hptmn Falke’s Me110C on the web

The Squadron code on the Blenheim is VE of 110 Squadron from Wattisham but can’t find the individual aircraft letter. Any ideas how I might trace it? Would it be in the Squadron’s ORB perhaps??

Any ideas or clues gratefully accepted!

thanks

Hi Jeepman,

I looked it up in Bomber Command Losses, but the individual letter isn’t mentioned there as well. AFAIK the information in BC was crosschecked with the ORB’s. And these are very infamous for the lack of information you need (not mentioning the typos).

But you can always try the ORB’s available at Kew.

Cheers
