The Blenheim
Following the accident earlier this year, a decision and agreement have been reached on the future of the Blenheim and the best way to return it to airworthy condition.
Graham Warner will be passing over the ownership of the aircraft to a new limited company, Blenheim (Duxford) Ltd, set up to restore the aircraft to flying conditionand operate the aircraft once complete. Graham has donated the aircraft in its current condition, and an undisclosed figure to enable the repair work to start.
It is anticipated that the work will take 3 years to complete and further funding will be required. It is hoped that the Blenheim Society and a supporters club will assist in this fund raising.
Propshop Ltd t/as Aircraft Restoration Company will provide the expertise in repairing the aircraft and their long involvement will continue.
It is hoped that work will commence in the new year and the team would like to thank all for their support .

Talking a couple of weeks ago with Ernie Taylor , TFC volunteer, he tells me that the Beaufighter team would welcome some more volunteers to add to those on the project at the moment.
So what Beaufighter are we talking about?

Who owns Grumpy B25 now? if the TFC don’t will it fly again?,i havent seen it in the air for a while:(
I would think that the Beaufighter quoted above would have problems being restored to flying condition as the T F C have been restoring theirs for years.

the answer is yes
the new company is set as a trust purely to repair and operate the blenheim.

Is this new company to operate the Blenheim going to be a trust?

They are not refering to Tim Moore’s Beau.

Perhaps if they were a bit more welcoming to volunteers it’d get done a bit sooner.

grahams decision to give up ownership was not taken lightly but in view of a looming repair bill it was by mutual agreement that setting up a new company to run the aircraft was the best option to see the blenheim returned to the air in the shortest time scale. graham is still very much part of the team. And will from his position on the comittee of the blenheim society continue to help keep the rebuild on track.
