Bleriot pictures

As its the 100th anniversary of Bleriot’s flight across the channel how about posting pics of Bleriots?.

In July last year, I wisited the site of Bleriot´s landing. It has a memorial in the shape of the outlines of the Bleriot XI. At the time it was badly sign posted and very difficult to find via a footpath through some dense wood. Hope they have improved the signs for the 100 annaversary.

As its the 100th anniversary of Bleriot’s flight across the channel how about posting pics of Bleriots?.

Here’s a Bleriot type that made a spot landing on a roof somewhere in N.London, I believe.

Musee Des Arts et Des Metiers about 2002 and looking very frail. Pity the roof is almost the same colour.

Some photo’s I took at Biggin Hill in 2008 of one of Mikael Carlson’s Bleriot XI/Thulin A’s.
I apologise for the quality of them, But I hope they are in the spirit of what people want.

Thanks for the info I will have to get a copy, there is a good piece in the latest Flypast about Swedish built Bleriot’s and a Mikael Carlson who has 2 originals which he flies. Great.

I’ve got a thing about Bleriot 😮 My Great Grandfather used to have the full picture on is wall above his telly 😀

If anyone has the uncropped version of this image he was the guy standing just off the righthand side in Army uniform with a bicycle.
