Have seen a similar set based in the Somme battlefield area. There is something unsettling but quite fascinating about them.
Would be good to see this done for a busy WW2 bomber base?

I came across another similar website last year that used Stalingrad as the back drop for the same kind of photos. I’ve also seen some from France.
In the FaceBook photos there was a comment about a friend of his digitizing hundreds of photos from some WWII Bomb Group. I’ll have to look through them again & find out exactly what he said.
