Blitzkrieg turned sour

It’s summer 1940..
Timely intel and mobilization have fouled the Luftwaffe surprise attack on Holland’s airfields.
Me 110’s and 109’s have a hard time against heavily armed Fokker G1’s and manoevrable DXXI’s.
The 100 G1b’s destined for export to Spain and Finland are raced into Dutch service and daily handle waves of Heinkels and Junkers that drop into the soggy polders like shot ducks.
Douglas 8A divebombers decimate German mechanized army units on the narrow dikeroads that never reach the Grebbeberg or Fortress Holland..
French Airforce and Royal Air Foce units now based in large numbers in Holland pin down the Blitzkrieg advance..
Fokker T5 bombers, accompanied by waves of Wellingtons and Amiot bombers make a succesfull retaliatory attack on the port of Hamburg….
