From the entry in Wikipedia:

“Several wrecked BV 141s were found by advancing Allied forces. One was even recovered by British forces and returned to England for examination.”

Nonme are recorded as coming to the UK. As noted above, Eric Brown managed to wangle a flight on one (as he did on a couple of other types) at an airfield in the Russian sector.

They did bring back an example of the similar-roled FW189, which he did fly in the UK

The first time I became aware of the Bv 141 was in an article in ‘Flying Review’ (early ’60s?) entitled “Asymmetric Oddity”.

Yes I did have to get a dictionary out to spell it correctly 😀

In ‘Wings of the weird and wonderful’ Eric Brown describes a short flight in this a/c near Grossenhain just before its destruction by the occupying Russkies.
He does not mention any other example tested in UK.

quite sadly, none survive, though according to various sources, the Raf recovered one for testing, i wonder if its under the main runway at brize 😀 :diablo:
