blow out

Just spoken to some of my family who were on the MH4 flight from Kl to heathrow on the 31/3 .
The aircraft was a 747 which they have been told went down the runway after the previous aircraft had taken off suffering a blow out.
The Mas 747 then sufferd a blow out and had to dump fuel before returning and from what I hear causing a lot of damage to the runway.
The day before a Mas plane suffered a blow out on landing at KL.

had a look around the net and it seems Malaysian seem to have a fair few accounts of this happening( And yes I know these things happen ) but three blowouts in two days at the same airport seems strange.
Could they be cutting corners with the rubber and trying to get that extra mile from them.
family made it home today only to be let down on there connection to manchester and are now stuck in heathrow,4 days to get home from Perth lol
