BM Routes

Does anyone have information on routes operated by British Midland in the 1990’s from both EMA and LHR to Continental Europe aswell as Ireland & UK? Schedules, Aircraft or Flight Numbers would be helpful. Cheers in advance…

I flew BD from Zurich to Heathrow at Christmas 97. There were three flights a day at the time, all with 735’s.

I’ve got the old boarding pass somewhere, let me dig it up…

ok, here we go, and I found the Itinerary, too!

BD722 Zurich-Heathrow, departure 10:30, arrival 11:20 (17/12/97)
BD727 Heathrow-Zurich, departure 18:10, arrival 20:45 (04/01/98)

Except, we ended up missing the flight back due to delays on the connecting flight down from Glasgow (due Weather at LHR), so we got put up over night in Slough, and caught BD721 instead (the boarding pass dosen’t have a departure time on it, but the boarding time is 06:40)

and by the by, the connecting flights were…

BD006 Heathrow-Glasgow departure 13:00, arrival 14:15
BD009 Glasgow-Heathrow scheduled dep. 15:00, sched arrival 16:15 (can’t remember exactly, but it was around 8:30pm before we eventually got into Heathrow; the boarding pass says departure time 17:30, but I’m pretty sure it was still later than that in the event)

I flew LHR to Prague with them several times in the mid 90s on both Fokkers and 737s.

I was looking for the Flight Number Series (eg: BD120-135 DUB-LHR, BD1-16 GLA-LHR) for their last year of operation as British Midland so I gather that it is 2000/1(?).

Although I have the information, it is all in old books and typing it out would take too long – sorry. If you wanted a specific schedule or flight number for a particular year I can find it.

I could answer in full, but it would take a lot of time because it would be a very long list. Are you looking for anything specific? In the summer of 1995 BMA flew from Heathrow to: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast Int, Amsterdam, Dublin, Brussels, Palma, Paris CDG and ORY, Nice, Teesside, Leeds Bradford, Frankfurt, Bergen as well as charters to Catania, Faro, Palermo, Ajaccio, Dalaman, Naples. From East Midlands to: Amsterdam, Belfast Int, Edinburgh, Nice, Brussels, Glasgow, Paris CDG, Palma, Malaga, Jersey, Guernsey. Charters were Fuerventura, Arrecife, Faro, Tenerife South, Alicante, Palma, Mahon, Ibiza, Zakinthos, Corfu, Heraklion, Izmir, Larnaca, Dalaman.
