Can any one throw some light on this one?
I understand there is a British Midland A320 or A319 flying into Jersey next week for the Jersey International Air Display, differant I ask my self.
From some information floating around syber space it could be going to do some formation flying with the Red Arrows?
It has been some time I think since the Reds have flown with a Commericial Airliner?
With the British Midland Aircraft being blue and the Arrows Red the Airbus will stand out well if this does happen?

Maybe they should get the Patrouille de France instead, with their blue Alpha Jets… ?

The bmi 319 making an appearance makes sense, as FlyBe are also placing an E195 in the flying display too. Good advertising for their respective London routes.
Quite why the reds would get involved with one specifically is beyond me, unless the bmi marketing bods have got hold of a massive advertising budget that is just going straight out to the RAF…

They also did it with an Airtours B757 and A330 on a number of occasions that I remember.

In the past they did it all the time with Concorde. Most recently I think they did it with the A380. I don’t understand you last question though. Why would a big passenger plane not stand out?
