bmi and their lack of IT facilities!

As a loyal bmi flyer I am getting a little bit annoyed with the lack of website availability at most times during the day. They just launched a new version of the site but they are always dogged by the site not loading, which must be down to too many people connected to the current server.

Even on their old site they have constant problems such as diamond club booking system being down for days on end, working but not showing any flights on any routes or even login problems.

Bmi really need to invest more in their IT facilities with larger servers and bandwidth connections or i think some customers using tiny fares may go elsewhere!

Who brought EIN into it lol?

EI compete very well with bmi on the DUB-LHR route and EI dont offer business class on those flight either but yet economy fares are quite low!

The bulk of EI business on this route with come from BA transfers.

If it was not for liking the bmi service I wouldnt even bother trying to work my way through their website. bmi are by far the best airline to serve Northern Ireland in terms of the entire package. EIN will not be a challenge for them unless they offer Business Class at a cheaper price, which they cant as they are all economy.

I think prices will be higher with EIN as with all economy some prices will have to be higher to pay for the cost of the flight, where as with bmi higher business fares pay large amounts towards the flight hence meaning economy prices do not have to be as high.

He didnt mention anything about disliking their service.

He was just stating that he is annoyed at bmi apparent lack of decent IT knowledge. The website is working quite well now but why did they launch it with so many flaws?

Good service starts at the first point of contact with the customer.

There are some problems that need to be sorted on the new site. In the departure point screen the points are not in any order just random!

Then your arrival point show the destinations 3 times but doesnt show all the bmi destinations.

You would loose alot of your valuable bmi time messing around with that site!

You should try working with their IT, either as an employee or a software provider 🙁
