Whilst I wouldn’t want to be the next person to start yet another Baby and BHD rumour, I couldn’t help noticing a flyer on the home page at http://www.bmibaby.com advertising “new lowest fares” from various airports – specifically mentioned was Belfast (City) – bearing in mind that the cheapest fare from BHD to LHR is advertised elsewhere at £24.99 and that they have always been very careful to differentiate between BFS & BHD in the past, is the reference to BHD simply a mistake or is there something afoot?

It is confusing for the ordinary passenger who books cheap tickets with Bmibaby, only to find they’re on Bmi.

It has been like that for a while. In an AW issue someone complained about “misleading advertising” as bmibaby advertised cheap fares to LHR from BHD on posters but they are obv bmi operated. With AB at City, “theres no room in the Inn” as the story goes…

What’s happening is that bmi use the ‘baby’ brand to sell mainline flights as this way they can appeal to different markets.
