Just heard on BBC Radio Cymru that a bmi baby carrying 127 pax ro CDG has returned, with engine problems, no further info atm

I’ve heard similar stories. Thats why their bringing in more 300s to phase out the 500s, but it should have started a while back so dont no whats going on.

why do you say that?
The 500’s are notorious as being the worst of the fleet, always tech or something bashed into them like baggage trucks etc.
The crew hate them, bad galley designs etc. My baby cabin crew friend had a slow decompression on a 500 only a couple of weeks back. Strange though, I thought the 500’s were newer than the original 300’s in the fleet.

Yeah bird strikes are not that uncommon, I have heard several this year on my scanner (well not the actual bird strike itself, but you know what I mean!)

Hasn’t a First choice aircraft just been through a bird strike? A spanish B747 has been doing flights, Air P? cant remember the airline’s name!
