Bmi Baby pull out of LGW

Too much competition, EZY ran them into the tarmac, especially now starting up Cork. Also CSA starting LGW-PRG

Cheers

Why go create a base at BHX if they are?

I was looking at the TBI website (owners of CWL) and saw thier Trading Update on October 7th. lo-co traffic fell again due to bmibaby reducing capacity and services for reasons “previously explained at the time of our preliminary announcement in June.” I’ve checked and couldn’t find anything, so does anyone know what the announcement was about and why they cut services and capacity when everything semed to be going so well?

Are they attempting a quiet retreat from the lo-co market ?

BMI Baby were not a welcome airline at LGW. They will make a quiet exit in January when EZY start up their Ireland routes. I don’t see DUB happening for around a year at least yet!

baby and Germanwings were co-operating. I’d rather go with Germawings again than baby myself

With easyJet getting big now in Ireland with their latest batch of Irish destinations, I’m wondering how long it will be before they start flying to Dublin?

Ryanair currently fly the route about 5 times a day and British Airways fly a good two or three times a day, so it would be great competition for the airline.

Also, has bmibaby got some sort of alliance going on with germanwings? Not so long ago, it was allowing passengers to book flights to Cologne, then forwarded you to germanwings… I’m sure of it.
