My dad just flew business BHD to LHR with bmi landing just over an hour ago.
Bmi Checkin Staff told business class passengers there was no business class service available tonight and each was given a refund. They still used the forward cabin for business passengers but without a divider and still had the normal service of meal etc. The only difference was 3 abreast seating in normal seats.
The aircraft was an A318 configured in all economy.
Does anyone know why this was, and how long it may be lasting for? I am guessing it may because an aircraft “went tech”?

BD079 is scheduled to be a A319 and BD081 s scheduled to be a A320 that according to our bmi system in work.
Correct 🙂 . It’s just in the past week of so that they have changed the 96/79 back to a 319.

I think he meant A319.
I would be well annoyed if I had been told I wasnt getting what I had paid for regardless of the refund.
The BD wesite does show the first few BHD departures as A320/321 but I think there is a number of A319 departures from BHD everyday, perhaps later on?
Ive had just about enough of bmi for one night anyway.

A318???
The morning flights are planned as 320s, I’ll check again in the morning and see what the later flights end up being planned with.
Will be interesting to see what the LHR-LGW Movements site says in a few days about tonight.
