Is LBA its biggest base outside LHR and MAN?
After all we do have flights to-
Brussels
Copenhagen
Cork
Edinburgh
Glasgow
Jersey
Heathrow
and Paris CDG.

We had an internal communication about Fokker’s at LBA recently. I think you’ll find the one that runs through LBA at the moment is LHR based, and does the LBA/LHR shuttles only. As far as I’m aware, no LBA cabin crew are trained on the F100, only the EMB’s.
As for more coming through the summer, the aircraft concerned are being leased temporarily to bmi regional so that they can return 2 wet-leased ERJ135/145’s on loan from other airlines. I think they’ve only been able to release the F100’s from LHR as and when the A319’s arrive.
Its a strange way of doing things I know, but I guess thats what happens when you have several different operations in the same group!

Airbus I mean by destinations served. LBA is not entirely EMB, we have 1 Fokker 100 during this winter and the summer will be 3 Fokker 100s as well as 1x ERj135 and 145.

EMA is all bmibaby (WW) apart from EMA/BRU and the new EMA/ABZ, both operated by bmi regional on EMB145’s.
You have to remember too that LBA is an entirely Embraer base, they have 135’s and 145’s. So if your talking about the size of aircraft fleet, maybe a Scottish airport would be bigger as they’re a mix of Airbus and Embraer. Also, GLA and EDI operate a small amount of charters on the Airbus.

Only 7 destinations actually operated by bmi from Edinburgh. Only 5 from Glasgow. Pretty sure EMA has very few BMI flights operating… mainly WW. I already said apart from ‘MAN and LHR’ about the long haul flights.
