BMI Route SOU – AMS Cancelled

BMI have announced that they will not be operating this route during winter 06.

Pax with bookings will be transferred to Scot Airways or possible BMI from LHR.

They should have moved the Southampton to Amsterdam flight – which has just been scrubbed to Bournemouth..

Get it..

Sorry, its just you said any thoughts on the flight ‘moved’ to Bournemouth which indicated it had already been moved there. 🙂

Which bmi flight? They don’t fly from BOH…

Neither from SOU :diablo: so I don’t suppose it would have made a difference! 😮

Apparently it was due to a lack of engineering staff at SOU. With the reduction in BA routes the BA eng staff have been removed so no cover for the BMI aircraft.

The fact that Flybe will also start the route on the 14th may also have been a consideration.

Your surprised!? bmi started a route from an airport where they had no aircraft based, and where two other airlines operate the route.

The local residents scared them off? Did they run up to the poor little Embraer and start screaming at it!

Another logical bmi decision obviously worked well!
