Just seen that bmibaby have announced they are to start flights to Newquay (yes, you read that right!) from Birmingham and Durham Tees Valley in June this year.
Have to say its not a route I would have expected them to start, but lets see if it lasts!

Little surprise at the BFS stopping – the writing was on the wall when the frequency reduced from daily to 4x weekly – have Flybe shown an interest in MME? – would this not infringe on their NCL ops.
Slightly off thread but have heard that the WW/6G codeshare from BFS – CWL may be shortlived as Air Wales are keen to take this over entirely and, if so, may transfer back to operate from BHD -would seem to make sense.

It great news from Newquay as its the closest airport im near to so suits me down to the ground, and yes Newquay is surfers paradise, so fly bmibaby! Ryanair are always full and at the prices bmibaby are offering, im sure they will be too!
