bmibaby summer 2005 routes

Well EMA seems confirmed to be a 4 aircraft base from next summer. So much for it being the hub of all things bmibaby, they’ve been sold down the M42 (literally) to BHX!

Also interesting to see EMA-CDG looks set to go back to Regional. The new CDG flights numbers in the range 250-260 are a bit of a give away, together with the 3 rotations a day! All baby flight numbers are 4 digits long, Regional’s are 3.

So I wonder what BHX will bring us tomorrow, especially since Flybe’s announcement!

LOL! The synical knee-jerk reaction by BMI management to the introduction of service by Go at EMA is finally being seen to have backfired. BMI was never going to make a success of Baby on the key routes at EMA, although it might just have worked serving bucket-and-spade destinations only. The sooner the Baby throws all of its toys out of its pram at EMA the better for the airport and the customers who fly from there regularly.

Andy

Exactly! They thought they could get rid of Go, but didn’t happen, Go/Easy has grown from strength to strength there, whilst i’m afraid baby has ust taken a back seat @ EMA

I’m waiting for the announcement that says Ryanair will be taking over all baby operations at CWL and extending them. They’ve already publically expressed their desire to have a strong base there within 10 years and clearly baby isn’t the future of the airport as predicted 2 yrs ago

Heres when routes will be announced :
UK departure airport on sale
Nottingham East Midlands Tuesday 30 November
Birmingham Wednesday 1 December
Manchester Thursday 2 December
Cardiff & Durham Tees Valley Friday 3 December

And heres the EMA routes announced today, a big drop compared to previous years:

route fare total
Amsterdam £9.99 £21.94
Belfast (International) £9.99 £21.94
Edinburgh £9.99 £21.94
Glasgow (International) £9.99 £21.94
Cork £9.99 £21.94
Jersey £9.99 £21.94
Prague £14.99 £26.94
Malaga £14.99 £26.94
Alicante £19.99 £31.94
Palma £19.99 £31.94
Murcia £39.99 £51.94
Faro £29.99 £41.94

Maybe Ryanair can take advantage of Baby and Easys apparant reluctance to start routes from EMA? After all they already serve GRO,DUB,MJV and now SNN with non based aircraft.
