Ren, I have an Interflug TU154 display model in 1/100 scale, courtesy of a friend in Berlin and an A3XX (not 380) in the current Virgin colours. Like you, I can’t wait to see the real thing.

More jealousy to come unfortunately. I’m bidding on a Virgin 744 and A346. Have won a Bmi A332 and a BOAC/BA Concorde twin set.
May also have an Interflug TU-154 shortly too ? Gonna need to visit B&Q for new shelves soon.

Wow, the 737-200 wing is even smaller than the a380 horizontal stabilizer!

You can buy this model in the usual array of fantasy Braniff colours…

Good point, if anything though it will make it more collectable and the model makers will waste no time in producing another version in the new house colours, not to mention the colours of the various airlines intending to fly it.Oh yes and Branniff of course…. Why does Branniff seem to get so many releases of plane models they never flew ? (lol)
Also a good point. Money making thats all. Money truely does make the world go round!
As for the Branniff this, Nostalgia is my guess. Many Many Branniff fans out there. But it does seem silly printing the branniff livery on planes like the 747-400 and A380 etc

Here’s a size comparison between a Boeing 744, Boeing 732 and A380…

And next, the A380 in Airbus house colours, one hell of a big plane, can’t wait to see the real one in action…
